The Privacy Policy describes what personal information I collect from users and customers, how I collect it, and how I use it. By using my website and/or making purchases in my shop, you confirm that you have read and agree to these policies.

The Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, how I use cookies, how third-parties I may partner with may use cookies on the website, your choices regarding cookies and further information about cookies. By using my website, you consent to the use of cookies.

I am not responsible for the practices, information, or content of any external website linked to or from heatherfranzen.com. My Privacy and Cookies Policies do not apply to these external websites and by clicking their link, you are subject to their own policies.

3. HOW I COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

The personal information I collect is what users and customers voluntarily share through shop orders, PayPal orders and invoices, online forms, email correspondence, or communications via social media.

4. PERSONAL INFORMATION I COLLECT

  • Customer information. This includes first and last name, billing and shipping address(es), email address, phone number, and a portion of payment information from PayPal or Stripe (such as the last 4 digits, country of issuance, and an expiration date of the payment card).

  • Shared information. This includes any information shared with me via online forms, email correspondence, or social media.

5. HOW I USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

I use the information listed in section 4 to:

  • Fulfill orders. The shipping name and address is referred to by me so item(s) can be packaged and delivered to the customer.

  • Communicate. I contact users and customers via email with any questions or issues related to orders, to discuss and fulfill commissions, and to reply to general questions and messages.

    • I currently do not have a newsletter or mailing list. If in the future I begin a newsletter, any email addresses received through orders, email correspondence, etc. will NOT be added the mailing list without the user’s consent.

  • Comply with the law. I refer to my history of shop orders for matters required to by law, including taxes and requests from law enforcements and authorities.

6. HOW I SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION

I share collected personal information to:

  • Fulfill orders. Customer payment information is processed by either PayPal or Stripe under their own terms and policies. Please note that I do not collect or store payment information.

  • Ship orders. First and last names and shipping addresses are written on packages, which is then provided to the shipping service or company.

  • Resolve disputes with service providers. I may share personal information with service providers (Squarespace, PayPal, Stripe) if there is an issue or dispute that must be resolved.

  • Comply with the law. I may share personal information if I am required to do so as a result of a legal requirement, or if it is necessary to protect you or myself, such as when there is a need to investigate potentially fraudulent or illegal activity.

7. HOW I RETAIN AND PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Although there is no guarantee for complete security of personal information, I do my best to keep user and customer data safe. When orders are exported for bookkeeping purposes, personally identifiable information is deleted or anonymized. All personal information associated with sales are stored within my Squarespace and PayPal or Stripe accounts. 8. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

I will update this Privacy Policy to reflect any changes in technology, legal requirements, or business operations. When I make changes, I will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page. Please check back periodically to review any changes.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small pieces of text sent to the web browser by a website the user visits. A cookie file is stored in the web browser and allows the website to recognize the user and make the next visit easier and more useful for the user.

    • Shows when a visitor adds a product to their cart

    • Prevents the password-protected screen from displaying if a visitor enters the correct site-wide password.

    • Prevents the Promotional Pop-Up from displaying if a visitor dismisses it

    • Prevents the Announcement Bar from displaying if a visitor dismisses it

    • Investigates if the browser supports cookies and prevents errors.
